When the paint correction team here at Automotive Detail takes their cutting, buffing, and polishing process to any automobile, the mission at hand is first to remove all minor surface defects that have been obscuring the clarity of the vehicle’s clear coat, but that’s not all! Our paint correction package is geared towards automobile owners who need their finish to shine brighter than others on the roads here in Roswell, Georgia.

Starting with a comprehensive cutting procedure, we abrade away the clear coat that has been afflicted by any of the following defects:

  • Etching
  • Marring

We follow up this with intense buffing, polishing, and jeweling where necessary to take the newly leveled finish on your ride and give it dimension, depth, and an unmatched gloss.

What Is Vehicle Paint Correction? FAQs Answered By Automotive Detail

  • If my paint isn’t defective, should I still have it polished?

This is always a wise choice! Paint correction can be for brand new or intensely used vehicles, removing any minor or more noticeable defects, but in addition to correcting those surfaces, polishing a finish will only enhance it more than it ever was before in spectacular ways.

  • What is paint correction unable to fix about my finish?

Our paint correction package here at Automotive Detail is capable of removing swirls, scratches, oxidation, etching, and even stains caused by environmental and chemical contamination. The rule of thumb we go by is as follows: If the body hasn’t been fractured or dented from something that leaves a defect, it can be corrected. Paint correction does NOT fix broken body work or horrendously damaged, raw paint.

  • Can I upgrade to a full ceramic coating following paint correction?

Yes you can! Our paint correction package includes one solid layer of Gtechniq EXO on your vehicle’s newly corrected and completely restored surface, which can deeply enhance its gloss in noticeable ways. However, there is always room for improvement and adding more surface shine with a better paint protection package.

  • What if my vehicle has an old, damaged ceramic coating on it; can you still do paint correction?

Paint correction involves a range of light to heavy abrasion in an effort to remove both simple and stubborn surface defects. If you have an old, now damaged ceramic coating that needs removal, our paint correction service can certainly accomplish this for you!
